Plain English summary: By using Expirity you agree to these terms. We provide a domain monitoring service on a subscription basis. You can cancel any time. Our refund policy is clear and fair — see Section 5. We are not liable for missed alerts caused by factors outside our control, including registrar downtime or WHOIS data unavailability.
By accessing or using the Expirity platform at expirity.io (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation or business, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, and references to "you" include that organisation.
You must be at least 16 years of age to use the Service.
Expirity is a domain monitoring platform that tracks domain expiry dates, DNS record changes, nameserver modifications, SSL certificate status, and related attributes for domains you add to your account. The Service sends alerts via email, Slack, Discord, webhooks and other configured channels when changes or upcoming expirations are detected.
We monitor domains by querying publicly available WHOIS and RDAP data. The accuracy and availability of this data depends on third-party registries and registrars, which are outside our control. Expirity does not guarantee that all changes or expiry events will be detected, and the Service is provided as a monitoring aid, not as a substitute for your own domain management practices.
To use the Service you must create an account using a valid email address. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately at support@expirity.io if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. We are not responsible for losses arising from unauthorised use of your account where you have failed to maintain reasonable credential security.
You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when registering and to update this information to keep it accurate. We may suspend or terminate accounts that contain false or misleading information.
Expirity offers a free Starter plan and paid Pro and Agency plans. Plan details, features and pricing are described on our pricing page. Domain packs (+25 domains for $5/month) are available as add-ons on paid plans.
All paid subscriptions are processed through PayPal. By subscribing to a paid plan you authorise us to charge your PayPal account or linked payment method for the applicable fees on a recurring basis. You must maintain a valid payment method on file.
Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually depending on your selection at checkout. Annual subscriptions are billed as a single upfront payment at a 20% discount relative to the monthly rate. Domain packs are always billed monthly regardless of your base plan billing cycle.
We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice by email. Price changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle after the notice period. If you do not accept the new price, you may cancel your subscription before the change takes effect.
Prices are exclusive of applicable taxes. Where required by law, taxes will be added to your invoice. You are responsible for any applicable VAT, GST or other taxes based on your location.
If a payment fails, we will notify you by email and attempt to retry the charge. If payment remains outstanding after 7 days, your account may be downgraded to the Starter (free) plan until payment is resolved. Account data is retained for 30 days after downgrade before deletion.
We want you to be confident trying Expirity. Our refund policy is designed to be straightforward and fair.
If you subscribe to a paid plan for the first time and are not satisfied with the Service for any reason, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your initial payment. No questions asked. This applies to both monthly and annual plans.
To request a refund under this guarantee, email billing@expirity.io from the address associated with your account within 14 days of your first payment. Refunds are processed back to your original PayPal payment method within 5–10 business days.
If you cancel an annual subscription after the 14-day guarantee period, you are eligible for a pro-rated refund of the unused months remaining on your subscription, calculated as follows:
To request a pro-rated refund on an annual plan, email billing@expirity.io.
Monthly subscriptions cancelled after the 14-day guarantee period are not eligible for a refund of the current billing period. Your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for, at which point it will not renew.
We handle each situation with common sense. If you believe you have been charged in error, or experienced a significant service outage that materially affected the value of your subscription, contact us and we will review it fairly. We reserve the right to issue discretionary refunds outside this policy at our own judgement.
Refund contact: billing@expirity.io — we aim to respond within 2 business days.
The Starter plan is provided free of charge with no time limit. We reserve the right to modify the features, limits or availability of the free tier at any time with 30 days' notice to registered free-tier users. We will never retroactively charge you for usage that was free at the time it occurred.
You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice or refund.
The Service, including all software, design, text, graphics, logos and documentation, is owned by Expirity and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service.
You retain full ownership of all data you provide to the Service, including domain names and notification settings. You grant Expirity a limited licence to use this data solely to provide and improve the Service.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to our collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.
Upon account deletion, we will delete your personal data and domain monitoring data in accordance with the retention periods set out in the Privacy Policy. Billing records are retained for 7 years as required by law.
The Service integrates with or relies on third-party services including PayPal (payments), Namecheap, Cloudflare, GoDaddy and Amazon Route 53 (registrar integrations), and email delivery providers. These third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Expirity is not responsible for the availability, accuracy or conduct of any third-party service.
Changes made by third-party registrars to their APIs or WHOIS data formats may temporarily affect the Service's ability to retrieve accurate data. We will work to restore functionality as quickly as possible but cannot guarantee continuous compatibility with all third-party systems.
We aim to provide a reliable, highly available service and will communicate planned maintenance in advance. However, we do not guarantee 100% uptime or uninterrupted availability of the Service.
Important: Expirity is a monitoring aid. We strongly recommend that you also maintain your own independent renewal reminders and do not rely solely on Expirity alerts for critical domain management decisions. Alert delivery depends on factors outside our control, including email deliverability, Slack availability and your notification configuration.
We will not be liable for any missed alerts or expiry events resulting from service downtime, WHOIS data unavailability, registrar API changes, email delivery failures, or any other factor outside our reasonable control.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT OR UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY.
We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, that alerts will always be delivered, or that WHOIS and RDAP data retrieved by the Service will be complete, accurate or up to date. The availability and accuracy of WHOIS data varies by TLD and registrar and is outside our control.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, EXPIRITY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, LOSS OF BUSINESS, OR DOMAIN EXPIRY, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN ANY EVENT, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO EXPIRITY IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such cases, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Expirity and its officers, directors, employees and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.
You may cancel your subscription and delete your account at any time from your account settings. Cancellation of a paid subscription takes effect at the end of the current billing period, after which your account will revert to the Starter (free) plan or be deleted at your request. Refunds are subject to Section 5.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law. In cases of material breach, termination may be immediate and without refund. In all other cases, we will provide reasonable notice before termination.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall do so, including Sections 8, 12, 13, 14 and 16.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties. If not resolved within 30 days, disputes shall be subject to binding arbitration or the exclusive jurisdiction of competent courts, depending on applicable law in your jurisdiction.
If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Nothing in these Terms limits your rights as a consumer under applicable mandatory consumer protection laws.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you may cancel your subscription and delete your account before the effective date.
